Table 2.2 Values for the Labour force status variable
Description
Table 2.2 provides an overview of whether a person was employed, unemployed or not in the labour force during the week of Sunday, May 1 to Saturday, May 7, 2011 for civilian and armed forces.
The variables are: employed, unemployed and not in the labour force followed by experienced and inexperienced. There are many possible components: worked for pay or in self-employment; absent from their job or business; on temporary lay-off; did not look for paid work; looked for full-time paid work and looked for part-time paid work; new job to start in four weeks or less; last worked in 2011 and last worked in 2010; last worked before 2010 and never worked.
