The rows are the 49 Market Basket Measure geographies grouped by province.

Note: The geographic areas and mortgage-free owner's advantage concepts were defined by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC). This amount varies for each of the 49 geographic regions and represents the typical annual shelter cost savings a household that owns their dwelling without a mortgage would have compared to a renter household.
