Issue

Changes were required to the 'Education' section of the NHS Aboriginal Population Profile which was released on November 13, 2013.

For certain levels of geography, the data for the following two breakdowns of education characteristics were based on the Aboriginal identity population aged 25 to 34 years instead of the Aboriginal identity population aged 15 years and over that is specified in the table:

• Total Aboriginal identity population aged 15 years and over in private households by major field of study - Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) 2011
• Total Aboriginal identity population aged 15 years and over in private households by location of study compared with province or territory of residence

The data for the following levels of geography were affected:

• Canada
• Province/territory
• Census division (CD)
• Census subdivision (CSD)

Data for other geographic levels (including census metropolitan area [CMA]/census agglomeration [CA], Indian band area, Inuit region and Métis settlement) and other breakdowns of education were not affected.

The table was corrected and re-issued.
